Muscle Shoals, Alabama-born, country music Singer-Songwriter/ Musician /Worship Pastor, Erik Smallwood has a 20+ year career on his resume’ that includes sharing the stage with national acts, festivals, award nominations, film contributions, the respect of his peers, as well as performing live music on many big and small stages around the U.S. Erik has, over the years, developed a strong following of fans, because of his very unique performance style. Blessed with an ear for catchy melodies and a quick wit on stage, Smallwood has and continues to earn respect in numerous venues, including: restaurants, pubs, coffee shops and churches, as well as opening for major acts like Joe Diffie, Jason Isbell, Shooter Jennings, Jason Michael Carroll, David Alan Coe, Josh Thompson, ThirdDay, Gary Jules, Lenny LeBlanc, The Embers, Kevin Max (formerly of dcTalk), Gary Nichols (formerly of The Steeldrivers), and many others.
Smallwood has won several songwriting competitions and awards including "Up and Coming" Magazine's Best Entertainer in 2014, 2012 Carolina Music Awards Best Country Male, and 2017 Alabama Music Awards Best Country Male.
Erik still performs from time to time, but mainly focuses his energy on production, songwriting, and leading worship.
