Muscle Shoals, Alabama-born Worship Leader/Singer-Songwriter, Erik Smallwood has a 20+ year career on his resume’ that includes sharing the stage with national acts, festivals, award nominations, film contributions, the respect of his peers, as well as performing on many big and small stages around the U.S. Erik has, over the years, developed a strong following of fans, because of his very unique performance style. Blessed with an ear for catchy melodies and a quick wit on stage, Smallwood has earned respect in numerous venues, including: non-profits, churches, restaurants, cafes, and pubs as well as on big stages opening for national acts such as: Joe Diffie, Jason Isbell, Shooter Jennings, David Lee Murphy, Jason Michael Carroll, David Alan Coe, Josh Thompson, ThirdDay, Lenny LeBlanc, The Embers, Kevin Max (dcTalk), Gary Nichols (The Steeldrivers), and Red Marlow (Season 13, The Voice) - just to name a few. Smallwood has won several songwriting competitions and awards including "Up and Coming" Magazine's Best Entertainer in 2014. Erik has been nominated for 6 Carolina Music Awards, winning in 2012 for Best Country Male, as well as nominated for 4 Alabama Music Awards, winning Best Country Male 2017. Erik still performs occasionally, but his main focus is serving the Church as a Worship Leader, Speaker, and Pastor.
